Blogmas Day Three

Hey Sweets!

Let’s talk movies. December is my favorite time to watch movies. It gets dark early. It’s cold and bleh out. So why not cozy up inside with some blankets, hot chocolate, and binge Christmas movies! So today’s post is going to be some of my favorite Christmas movies. With a Santa rating score. 🎅

1. Saving Santa

So I only watched this movie last year but I loved it! The main character, Bernard is low elf on the totem pole working the stables. He aspires to be bigger and better, causing some havoc along the way. But when a baddie discovers the North Pole and kidnaps Santa someone has to step up to the plate. It’s definitely worth a watch and usually is on Netflix. 🎅🎅🎅

2. The Holiday

This is one I have to watch at least once. I honestly just love the dynamics of all the characters. Especially Jack Black’s adorableness in this. He’s the dorky guy we all want and need. While Jude Law is the single father who woos you instantly with that first smile. Kate Winslet is the perfect post break up, out to discover herself, kick the loser to the side badass all women deserve to be at least once. And Cameron Diaz is the emotionless, badass we all aspire to be. 🎅🎅🎅🎅

3. Christmas With the Kranks

Now this is the movie that I nonstop played when I worked the holidays at Family Video. It’s such a fun one. The Kranks decide to skip Christmas since their daughter isn’t at home and all kinds of festive hell breaks loose. Plus I mean how do you go wrong with Tom Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis?! 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

4. Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas

This one isn’t necessarily that great but Disney owns my soul. Not to mention I do enjoy it. Gives you new perspective on classic tales with the fab five.  🎅🎅🎅

5. Home Alone

We all knew this was coming didn’t we? It’s a classic. You have to watch it. It’s like an unwritten rule. Not to mention once you reach a certain age you have to wonder how Kevin’s parents could afford that house. Personally I prefer imagining how I would have trapped my house to protect myself and my house. 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

6. Santa Clause

Another classic, another movie with Tim Allen. I mean who doesn’t love this one? I must admit that I’m not a huge fan of the sequels but this one gets me everytime. I just can’t resist the magical quality of someone becoming Santa. I’m a sucker for this one. 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

7. The Grinch

The older I get the more I identify with The Grinch. Whether it’s the live action or animated classic I love this movie. Like I will actually cancel plans to watch this movie. Cindy Lou Who is the greatest gift you could ask for regarding adorable children. And The Grinch is my spirit animal. I’m not even kidding. 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

8. Arthur Christmas

We have reached my favorite. Arthur Christmas is literally a must watch. Arthur is the youngest in the Santa line and a total goofball. His older brother Steve runs Christmas so smoothly it’s obvious he should be the next Santa. Yet dear old dad isn’t ready to step down. Once they think Christmas has ended without a hitch an elf discovers a forgotten gift, which means a forgotten child. How will the Santa family fix this oversight? 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
Thanks for reading, Jel.
